“I wish there was a promo code to mark a century”

Indian star cricketer Virat Kohli is now the face of ‘Wellman’ health supplement, which is designed to ‘nourish and restore’ the body and keep you mentally and physically on top. He posted the ad on social media on July 18, Monday, but fans weren’t impressed.

Kohli is going through his worst phase with the bat and the tour of England has further prolonged his miseries with the bat as he left without a single score over 20 in the entire series. Meanwhile, fans showed their disappointment with Kohli and also targeted the Indian superstar for engaging in commercials.

Kohli posted a 21-second video clip of the ad on Twitter. “We don’t let the pressures of the game change us, we change the game instead. We are Wellman. Wellman vitamins are designed exclusively to meet the lifestyle needs of men at every stage of life. Life is continuous, so be unstoppable. Use promo code ‘NONSTOP’ and claim your Wellman at a very special price from me,” he said in the promo.

In 2022, Kohli scored 493 runs over 20 innings in all three formats while averaging 24.65, with four fifty and a best score of 79. It was his worst calendar year in terms of batting average, with his previous most low being 31.80. in 2008, which was his first year. Kohli has now gone 79 innings and more than two years in all formats without scoring a century for Indiamaking it the longest streak without centuries of his career.

The cricketing fraternity has been divided with their opinions on Kohli as several people believe he should be dropped from the squad due to his prolonged poor form with the bat while several others believe it is just a phase for the former India captain, and that he would be back and flying again shortly. Kohli was rested from the next set of white balls against the West Indies.
